Quick post

This is the last of non SU cards for a while. I feel I have been neglecting my SU sets... so better dust them off and have a play.

Scrapbook class

Here are a few pictures from last nights class. I must admit I had fun getting the packs together with matching paper, lace and flowers. It seemed a hit with all ladies wanting to know when next one is. So I guess I better starting thinking about what to do next... if you are keen to join us next time then email me before mid march, that way I can order enough product for everyone.

Pen Pal

Yes I managed to do this card at work.. in my lunch time. I am so addicted to these wonderful stamps at the moment that my poor SU stamps are getting dust on them. Never fear though... not long before I have new Catalogue in my hands, and 1st March is around the corner so will find out which sets are discontinuing so I can make way for my new SU sets.

On the hunt.........

Do you all know how hard it is to get a strapless (or halterneck bra) if you have anything bigger than C cup????. It's doing my head in!!! The market in NZ is really slack. If any of you NZ readers know of any place that sells such an elusive bra then can you leave a comment! I have till May to find one but will most likely have a dress fitting for the wedding in April.

On to the card.. another CTD challenge.

Sneak Peak

Here's a sneak peak into this Friday nights scrapbook class. Basically you will have two layouts to look at, take what you want (ideas) from either or both and create your own page! All the hard work has been done for you, in the kits are matching paper, cardstock, lace, bling, flowers and a cute little butterfly.... anything you dont use can be taken home!! I have one kit left, so email if your keen.

How cool is this???? 3 cards and envelopes with a cute little box to keep them in. I like it so much I am going to do a class in April with hopefully some yummy new SU DS papers. I think it would be a fantastic gift for someone. So flick me an email if you are interested.. see class list at the side for dates.

Oh and the winners of the fairy light paper are Tash (pink) and Kirsten (blue) so congrats and I will get those to you.

Fairy lights

What have I been doing??? Cutting out flowers from Sheer Delights - hibiscus clear sheet.
I saw this cool idea at SENZ that was done by a talented lady from SBO. The picture below is in Bees room, I had instructions to pull the curtains for the photo!! Hopefully you get the idea on how pretty it will be at night.... mmmm wonder how long the batteries will last!!

I have half a sheet left of each colour.. anyone wanting to give this a go, leave a comment or email and I will draw two names (one for each colour) and send the sheets to you. All you need to get is the lights which you can pick up from spotlight for $7.

Will draw 2 names Friday night

Colour Throwdown 29

Well I didn't have Kiwi Kiss so this is as close a match as I could find, (even though it looks really green in this photo). This image is from a stash that Lou sent me ages ago.
Oh... and VIV is leading me astray again making me buy nellie stamps!!!!... so they should tide me over until the new SU catty arrives in April.

Hostess Gift Bag

Here's a bag I did last night for a lady who has organized a class/workshop. In it has lots of goodies including a stamp set. In real life these colours look vibrant and remind me of summer.

When I first started this layout I thought it would be boring... but after cutting out snowflakes, and the lovely Viv did some snowflakes from cuttlebug, I think it s turned out pretty good.

Sale a bration - Botanical Blooms

After seeing Keryn's blog with her colour combo she picked this week I decided to join her. This is the first time I have used this set. Not that keen on it.

Colour Throwdown 28

Not having two of the three colours made CTD Challenge a bit more of a challenge for me. I like having the exact same colours!

Oh So Lovely - again

I am really liking this stamp set at the moment, and guess what... it's not pink!!
Today being a public holiday, I have a list of "to do" things... hopefully I get time to make another batch of cards to put on here for you all to look at.
Have a great weekend.

Bundle of Joy

There seems to be a theme happening with my cards lately. I have noticed that I am starting to use SU DS Paper on them. Sometimes its just easier to match and create different layers to the card stock to make an effective card.
I also need to thank Viv for the snowflakes that she has cut out for me... I am relieved she didn't make me do them!!

Why is it?????

Why is it that when your kids start school they come home with a bag full of school books that you need to cover for them in bratz, furry animals etc, the very same day they receive them.?? And if you don't, ... it's a big saga!!!???..
Guess what I'm doing after tea (not stamping!!).... at least Ive roped mum into it too... might get less air bubbles!

NZSU challenge

Well Trudi challenged us ladies to come up with a card using Rose Red, Regal Rose, Certain Celery and Whisper White. Such pretty colours together, I decided to use a stamp set I haven't used in a while (had to wipe the dust off!!) I couldn't help but glitter the butterflies.

Oh and pop over to....
for some yummy blog candy

Oh So Lovely

It's ben a while since I have used my wheel for background stamping. Very quick, effective way of filling a space.
Have taken today off work to spend last day with kids before they start the school year tomorrow. Yiphee... cant wait!!!
